这是最重要的一步，很多学生往往在这一步卡住，不知道写什么，没有内容，不知道如何突出“进步”这一主题。
我们知道记叙文有六要素：时间、地点、人物、起因、经过、结果。难点在于怎么把起因、经过描述出来。
无论是小说还是电视剧，都是通过跌宕起伏的情节表达主题、突出中心，从而吸引观众。那么记叙文如何“跌宕起伏”呢？先来看一篇经典的新概念文章。
该文通过对比表达出“最好的艺术评论家”这一主题。如果说这是一种横向比较，那么我们的中考作文则更倾向于纵向比较，即描述经历时，通过突出一个人的前后不同，表达中心。
比如“我进步了”，可通过描述前后变化的经过表明进步这一事实；比如“常怀希望”，可通过描述自己从遇到困难、失去希望到最后克服困难，表达出无论何时、何境，都会有希望，从而呼应“常怀希望”这一观点；比如“难忘的事情”，可通过自己在某一方面的变化，或者外界的行为给思想上带来的的冲击等表达出“难忘”。
所以记叙文写作思路可以归结为三点：
